New England Runner Sled Championships are set for Saturday February 27 on Hogback Mountain in Montville, Maine.
Pray for snow.
Current Trail Report: if it froze tonight we could go sliding on the north side tomorrow, but more snow would make it a lot safer. The way it is now if you go off the trail you’ll pretty much hit a tree or a rock wall and stove yourself up.

I just heard the board has decided that the annual runner sled competition may not be held on the Hogback Mountain Road this year because it is a town road and needs to be kept sanded for safety reasons.
Is there an alternate site?
